Professional colour grading
It all starts here – after an initial assessment, each video is colour graded, scene by scene by our team of professional graders. We then create test prints from each scene and run through numerous cycles to achieve the best colour on paper.
We use various modern digital enhancements to improve the sharpening and resolution to find the perfect balance between the original video and a high quality print. Sometimes the original grain or ‘mistakes’ from the film/video make for a more authentic print.
We also scan original film from the UMG archive at a super high resolution, then restore and grade it ready for testing.
Highest-quality fine art prints
After much testing, we've selected 2 premium papers for our prints. Our A3 products use a 360gsm fine art paper from the Italian papermill, Fedrigoni. This heavyweight paper offers great quality and depth of colour.
Our A2 prints are printed using an archival Giclee technique on museum-grade, heavyweight Hahnemuhle paper - the gold standard when it comes to museum grade prints.

Highest-quality papers and inks
Our A2 prints are printed on a super matt finish using possibly the finest art paper in the world - Hahnemühle Photorag. The 10 colour Giclee process gives muted blacks with even colour reproduction, and excellent detail. The surface has a delicate surface, so we recommend taking extra care when handling. The exact same paper and process is used by the world's most successful and established photographers and artists.
Our A3 prints are created using a combination of fine art paper and modern printing technology. Fedrigoni, one of the oldest paper mills based in northern Italy, supply paper to our UK printers, where each print and certificate goes through a stringent quality control process.
Beautifully crafted custom frames
Our incredible value frames are custom-made in Germany to the highest standards using a classic matte black aluminium frame with a 10mm profile or finished in beautiful walnut. We use a high-grade Perspex, so the prints are protected from uv rays and safe in a family home. The frames utilise a unique magnetic closing system and can be safely hung from a suitable single screw. These same frames can be seen in some of the best galleries around the world.
The frames are pressed and coated exclusively in Germany, using sustainable and partially recycled aluminium or wood exclusively from certified, sustainable forestry.
The frame consists of just five simple components, held securely in place by special magnetic strips in the frame profile.
Sustainably produced
Our A3 paper stock is made with environmental–friendly ECF wood-free cellulose, FSC® certified.
Exclusively sourced sustainable aluminum frame profiles utilise Hydro REDUXA® which has a carbon footprint of low max of 4t CO2 per ton of aluminum due to the use of renewable energy sources such as hydropower. The recycled material of the Aluminium even has, through the use of green electricity from hydropower, a footprint of only 2.7 t CO2 emissions per ton of aluminum.
All of our wood is sourced exclusively from certified, sustainable forestry and our packaging is very considered and fully recyclable.
Certificate of Authenticity
Each print comes with a beautiful certificate of authentication to keep as proof that this is an official, one of a kind artwork.
It shows details of how to care for your artwork and a link to our support pages. In the future we plan to add other content here - links to related videos, early access to concert tickets or discounts on the artist's website.
Hand-signed
For the ultimate collector, our A2 giclée prints are hand-signed by the artist and then hand stamped in our studio. After being professionally printed in London, we arrange a suitable location for signing - usually our studio, the artist's home or recording studio.
Our A3 digital prints feature a scanned signature, specifically supplied to Pause by the artist, which is then perfected ready for digital printing.
